I need help. I just built a new system. Biostar Tforce 6100-939 motherboard with AMD Athlon 64 CPU. I put in a nVidia geforce 7600 GT graphics card. I have gone directly to the nvidia site to download the most recent drivers. However, while on SL, my screen goes black periodically and the only way out is to reboot. The only time this happens is while on SL. Any ideas?

Sounds like a power issue, happened to me before. What kind of power supply do you have and how many watts? is it a 20 or 24 pin?

20 pin

I just took a look at your manual. Doesn't say anything about connecting a 20 pin, only 24pin. The extra 4 pins on the motherboard are used to power PCI-Express slots, even though the video card may use an external connector this can still be a problem. You should try to contact Biostar and ask if there are any issues with connecting a 20 pin connector instead of a 24. I know that MSI motherboards run fine with the 20 pins in a 24 connector but some DFI motherboards don't run right, all depends on the manufacture. If this is the issue, tou cna get a 20 to 24 pin adapter with no problem.
