Rezzing objects in 1.6 sometimes crashes Sim !

Since the 1.6 update I've been having occasional issues with crashing SL when rezzing inventory, taking the entire sim (Dacia) down as I have done so !

So far this has happened about 6 or 7 times in the past few days, when rezzing items such as a hoverbike, a necklace and yesterday, a (Linden) shrub plant. On these occasions, just after trying to place the item, the client has kind of hung for a few seconds, then I get the message saying the Sim is going down.

Unfortunately it's not really predictably repeatable at all times, but it almost seems like a particular instance of an object goes 'bad', at least temporarily, and attempting to rez it will then take down the sim  no matter how many times you try.

Just wondered if anyone else had seen this effect ?

Last night, post 1.6.2 and after having the problems with aforementioned 'killer-shrubs', I also had a lot of issues with the SL client (though not the sim) crashing when deleting items from inventory that I had just been wearing a few seconds previously.

Anybody else noticed anything like this ?

Things generally running OK, not too bad stability-wise, but just now and then this is leaping out and and biting me on the *ss :D

*bump*

Still happening, I crashed Dacia three times in short succession this evening repeatedly trying to rez wetsuit flipper on to the ground...

Gave up in the end...

Noticed a few threads here about frequent Sim crashes around SL - I wonder if this effect is related... ?

Yes it's happened to me too, it can be anything no particular object, just rez something from my inventory and bang! Instant sim crash. It seems to happen 1 in 50 times so very hard to reproduce for a bug report.

Blew up the Dacia sim again tonight - just rezzing a patch of birdseed. A new instance created in inventory subsequently rezzed OK.

This is like, almost daily now :( and completely unpredictable...

Also crashed the client by simply deleting an item from inventory again *sigh*

Yes sorry maybe I am moaning here, but it *is* a little un-nerving !

Geesh quit doing that lol. I keep wondering why the sim keeps crashing at my home in Dacia lol. Ya that needs to be fixed...since I live there and all :D

Sowwy :D

LOL, yeah it's scary stuff, totally unpredictable as to when it may strike :(

Random item from inventory which can be OK just before and OK just after, so it's probably not objects at fault but something about the inventory streaming perhaps -which seems to 'drag' just before the crash.

Mind you, when it's happened the Sim has been empty aside from people who were with me at the time, so if you've seen it crashing then it suggests the problem is definitely being triggered by other people when I'm not there too...

And Laukosargas is seeing it elsewhere so, this may be a pretty widespread thing and perhaps linked to the widespread crashiness of Sims reported elsewhere in these forums ??

even more  ...

And THAT's why the public sandboxes keep crashing and burning lately...
