I found there are 147 prims in the "Selected/sat upon" in About Land. What does it mean? Does it mean those objects are below the land surface or what? I can't find any description of "selected/sat upon objects" anywhere.

Usually it means that these objects are being edited or that someone sits on them. Could be a huge construction of 147 prims or even a necklace you are working on.

Usually it means that these objects are being edited or that someone sits on them. Could be a huge construction of 147 prims or even a necklace you are working on. But there is no avatar on that parcel of land so it couldn't be someone sitting on it, or that someone has selected it for editing. It is really weird, because it is taking up 147 prims out of nowhere. It doesn't say who the owner of those objects are in the About Land either. How do you locate them and get rid of them? |

Selected/Sat Upon in About Land

i have often wondered this myself. if you don't find any other avatars on the land and all the objects appear to belong to you, try refreshing, leaving the area and coming back, or relogging. of course, if any of the objects belong to others return them.
also try using show items in the About Land/Objects tab. BUT move using your camera controls. if you move otherwise the highlights disappear. then u can look up, down, around, all over to see what is highlighed on the plot. good luck! _____________________

Objects sat upon include vehicles passing by, while selected objects don't get autoreturned until selection is off.

Code a scanner that detects objects not owned by you with the confines of your land.

I think I resolved that "Selected/sat upon" object problem by asking the Estate owner to restart the sim. They disappear after sim restart. If you really want to locate lost objects, you can use the "beacons" to locate them. Just turn on the beacons from the "View" menu, which would highlight the objects. If it happens it falls below the surface of your land, you can make the land transparent by pressing Alt-Ctrl-Shift-5 key. If you know the name of the object, you can locate them with an object scanner/detector. Here's one that detects physical objects: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=190713 and this one detects scripted objects: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=192866 |
