Builders Beware:
While working on a skybox using different texture repeats and alignments per face, I drag-selected the entire structure to save a copy, clicked on the general tab to check permissions and EVERY TEXTURE FACE RESET TO 1:1. hours of work trashed, and no undo.
I did it again to test and it is consistent.

Yesterday I was building a brick house. All the walls alligned and after a while I noted the same syntoms you describe: All my textures alligments lost. I didn't noted when It happens and I made a lot of operations so its not clear to me what was the thing that caused the problem. But your approach is a big clue.

I'm not sure if this is tied to the general tab -- it might be -- but the textures don't necessarily reset to 1:1. I've had things reset to .3 horizontal repeats and -.497 vertical offset. It seems like SL picks one prim in the selected set and tries to apply its texture offset and repeat values to all the prims. And no, it's not the parent prim that's necessarily chosen.
Either way, it's a big problem, and far worse than the older texturing bug.

Did you bug report it? This would be a major showstopper I should think.

ah, thanks for figuring out the exact conditions to reproduce it. It was driving me nuts and I couldn't figure out what exactly I should avoid doing!

Nice catch, Smoke...please do Bug Report that. You will get a RT# in email. Email that to me at Blue@lindenlab.com and I'll get your report to the appropriate person ASAP.
thanks!
