The crash problem isn't fixed
No need to tp or edit something, i crash just like that, about every 5 min.
Guess LL itself gonna shoo me out of their game!

Please Fix It!!

I am still crashing every 10-30 minutes- as I have been since the 1.10 release-- In my case, its not linked to any particular action-- I can be editing a prim, or just chatting and POW-- back to dektop. **sigh** Here-- allow me to flood you w/ crash reports lol

I am trying to run a business here and this is making it more difficult than it need be. Is there any relief in sight?

I already updated my drivers so that is not it.

While I love the new rendereing and the new features, none of this does any good if I cannot remain logged in long enough to get something accomplihsed.

Are you guys sending the crashlogs to LL?

Without them LL will have a harder time fixing bugs as they don't have any clues to start the bug fixing search.

You ASSUME they read them. My reports for one day alone would probably take one person a day to through.

Last time I called them they couldn't even find mine. I had to submit one with that linden's name in it so they search for it.

crashing modem?
06-01-2006 09:22
Hi to All,

It seems that my machine is fine apart from when I logon to SL, then it crashes quite inadvertently. When I log out; my modem has to be re-set in order for me to even use my web browser, also the "forums" menu item doesn't work and my "packet loss" meter at the top righthand corner of my screen is largely in the red.

It's a shame that I'm so hindered as this is not a totally cost-free experience and all was fine before the upgrade. I cannot stay online long enough to do anything constructive on my land before the "Crash Monster" attacks. Also the crash logger doesn't detect that a crash has even occured.

Has anyone got some extra "Linden Sanity Pills" I can take? (I'll probably need the strongest ones available) hehehe.

Lola: You have no crash reports. Hopefully you're contacting Support so we can guide you through troubleshooting?

Leyla: Our Minimum System Requirements include Windows XP Service Pack 2, which you do not have installed. Your graphics drivers are fine. The drivers for the rest of your computer are woefully out of date, and XP SP2 will fix that.

Bopper: Your computer's graphics drivers are from 2003! Please, please please visit nvidia.com and get them updated!!!

Mirra: You're using an ATI Radeon graphics card on an nVidia nForce motherboard. That's never recommended. Please update the nVidia nForce drivers (get the Forceware release from nvidia.com). You may have to turn off SMARTGART in the ATI drivers, and "AGP Fast Write" in your computer BIOS. I can't provide much more help than that; we're not the only program that has problems with this combination of hardware.

Aaaaand, look at that, I just broke the crash reporter. I'll have to help the rest later.

Lee, we have two comps that run SL. Mine was fine before last weeks update and was fine again once I updated video drivers and reinstalled SL.
The other has become a constant crasher. I made sure SL was uninstalled fully and reinstalled, and rechecked the driver version today. It is most current. (this comp did work 98% of the time prior to last weeks update)
What is the best way to get feedback on the crash reports for this comp, so we can attack whatever has jumped up and bit this system?

Thanks,
Blackie

I clicked the little yes button that said SL seems to have frozen would you like to send a report about 3 times on the 30th. I haven't been back in since the 30th.
I completely freeze up my entired computer and have to reboot if I try to run skype or yahoo at the same time as sl and that just gets me too crazy so I just had to take a little break.
