Massive Login Delays

I am using the latest version of Second Life, and am experiencing constant, massive login delays. The game gets to 'Preparing Inventory' and then waits for ever more.

This started when the latest version of the secondlife client was released (1.5.12).

Usually, that's the queue. Basically, everyone has to get in line to log in.

That said, I've not waited anything longer than about 10 seconds ever since the update, and others have reported waiting 45 minutes or more without anything ever happening, so I don't believe a bit of this "queue" stuff. I'm sure that they intended for a queue to exist, but I don't think it's working.
