I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, I'd like some clarification.
When I'm building and panning the camera round, it goes where I tell it to, but when I release the movement keys, if the camera thinks it's too close to an object where it shouldn't be, it will bounce round to some other position where it's happy.
I don't think this is right. I want the camera to stay where I put it, until I choose to move it. Building something at 300m is hard when you can't fly round to check how things look, and this camera problem doesn't help.
Is this intended behaviour? Is there a way to turn off the bouncing?

create a prim a few m. away from the spot you want to see up close. focus the camera on that, then swing it around to get close to the edit spot. if you need to physically move your av around the build, make yourself a platform that intersects the build, and TP up to it.
