Error when downloading update

In the last two weeks or so I have a application error (An error occured at 0x blah blah bla referencing memory 0x0000034 could not be read)on my machine when I try to go and and I need to download the update. I am not runiing any new programs on my machine from the last time I signed on.

Needless to say, this is getting frustrating and I have not been able to get into Second LIfe.

Anyone have ideas on fixing this?

Will removing and re downloading Second life software fix the issue? WOudl this mess anything up?

this a update or did you download from http://secondlife.com//downloads/index.php

Autoupdater = to much randomness, try the download page if you havnt

SO the only thing I see on the download page is the complete download......so I should uninstall and re install...right?

Yes, because of the relatively small file size and the time needed to produce multiple installers, the autoupdater just downloads the whole thing and installs that. It's frequently complained about, but the Linden position seems to be that if you have trouble downloading a 20MB file, SL isn't going to work for you anyway.

Though, to be fair, a smaller download is a project we'd like to do... ;^)
