I just checked this out. I Uninstalled Second Life, Wiped out anything on my hard drive and system registry that had anything to do with it. key Words to search for are "Second Life, Linden, secondlife". Made sure everything was gone. then i deleted everything in C:\documents and settings\your profile\application data\secondlife\

It fixed some problems but not all of them hehe. My guess is the same as yours. Second Life doesnt remove old registries when you update it. It's just as bad at managing registries as it is the cache! From now on when a update comes out i will repeat this process.

Hi Yiffy! The strange thing is that I haven't updated since I cleaned up registry and reinstalled last time (I refuse to update unless LL force me to - hehe). If I were updating, it would made sense, but it is the same version apparently making registry trouble over time. So it cannot just be the uninstaller leaving trash.
