I'm still having problems with textures changing constantly, I've deleted the program and all its files and reinstalled. I've used the Debug menu to turn off clouds, fog etc. I've used the most basic graphics settings, and lastly I disconnected my wireless setup and connected through with the ethernet port. Nothing works. The problem started with 1.7 and has been a pain ever since. I've tried inworld Help, email Help, and posting here. Inworld help didn't even respond. Email help told me I was using MacOS8 and that was the problem. Of course any tech support person should know that any MacOS before 10 wouldn't even recognize Secondlife as an application, and that I couldn't be using it. Finally I got a message telling me to delete the program and reinstall. I've done that 4 times now, but after a few minutes in world, the problems come back. I've kept my system software up to date, run virus checks and disk checks. Nothing seems to be wrong with my hardware or software. Any ideas out there?
I'm using a 17inch iMac, with 1 gig of memory, a 1.8 ghz ppc chip with a GeForce FX 5200 nVidia chip with 64 mb of vram, with MacOSX 10.4.5.
Here's a pic of a recent fun-filled time:

Problem #1 iMac! sorry I can't resist... I'll respond here because I know it's frustrating as hell not getting a response. My suggestion, sometimes shit just doesn't work like it's suppose to. That ground thing looks cool. I have problems with full detailed ground, try turning it down to the medium setting.

Crappy Service

5 minutes after I sent the original post it gets moved to the "appropriate" forum, but 24 hours later not a single response from Linden Labs regarding the problem. Is there any tech support for this service at all anymore?

48 hours later and still not a single response from Linden Labs. Thanks Torley for burying this thread where it's guaranteed to never be found.

You're most graciously welcome! Several Lindens, including myself, check Technical Issues regularly. You sound like you've already recently contacted support again, so hopefully you will hear back soon. This is a known issue and, as I mentioned earlier, your info has already been included. Again, please be sure to read this thread--you'll want to post to it too: /164/8d/74461/1.htmlthat thread is a good compilation of others who've experienced the same problem. Chime in and voice yourself!

I saw textures being used at the wrong place myself. For me it went away after I cleaned out the on-disk cache. This leads to a complete re-download of textures but for me it fixed the issue.
