SL log window

I'm calling it that for want of a proper name...
When I start SL, this little DOS-style window opens with a fast-scrolling account of what the app is doing (I guess).
(I think this link will get you to a snapshot I made....)

http://snipurl.com/1xu0k

After a few seconds, the SL viewer comes up and covers it.
No big problem, but I don't recall seeing it before.
The only annoyance is when I want to jump to open windows or folders on the toolbar, I have 2 SL items, and I always seem to choose the wrong one when I want to get back to the viewer.

Did I toggle a key to get this? If so, can I turn it off?

that is the console window you can deactivate via the debug settings in the menu client /debug settings , then find the ShowConsoleWindow and set it to FALSE, that is all ;)

AHA!!! Thanks so much.:D

Now- if you could kindly tell me how to get that stinkin' Client window back.... Why the heck did SL tinker with that Menu bar? I don't recall all that hassle. (Of course there's a lot of stuff I don't recall).

Got it- thanks- It's been so long, I didn't realize that Debug is in the Client menu. I'm embarrased to be almost 3 years old and unable to surf that menu bar. :o
Got it all back now, but the @$#!# little log window is still popping up when I log off (or get logged off, as just happened in a SIM where there were too many objects.)
Now I need to find (or be told) how to turn off that little window.

Dont worry I find it by mistake :P .I was touching everything on the client and found so many intresthing thingies on it, and one of that was the sl log screen ;)

Its the same window screen out of the sl client or the little debug window? if is the little debug window inside the Sl client just closed before log out. if its the same window outside the client you need first deactivate (set ir to FALSE)just like I say before then close the debug window inside the sl client and then log out.

If what you're seeing looks like:

Client / Console Window (towards the bottom of the client menu) needs to be unchecked (no X in front of it)

(You'll need to close SL and relog to make it actually go away)

---

If what you're seeing looks like:

Client / Consoles / Debug Console (towards the top of the client menu) needs to be unchecked (none of the console thingies there should have an "X" in case you have a different one up)
That should do it :).
