It seems everytime I put on my crux av, or see another one, my fps drops to 3 no matter what it's at, or where I am.
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ (1793 Mhz) Memory: 1024 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. Graphics Card: RADEON 9600 XT x86/MMX/3DNow!/SSE OpenGL Version: 2.0.6174 WinXP Release
I'm using the latest ATI drivers and still nothing. Could the current issues be related to this? This never happend before the update. Anyone have any advice?

3fps seems low, but the avatar you mention may be prim or texture intensive that the app must slow down to accommodate it. i had a 256MB 9800 Pro for awhile and was getting 15-18fps consistantly in low-medium traffic areas, so i'd expect a 128MB 9600 to get maybe 8-10fps as a common rate. my current machine is a 3.2MHz, 2GB ram, and a 256MB GeForce 7600, and I'm getting 30-35fps tonight (compared to 22-27 before 1.13... good job LL!). i have another machine that has a slower processor (P4 2.8Mhz) and less memory (1GB), but a 256MB Radeon X850 and is getting 32-37fps consistantly. granted, i have a 10Mbit internet connection, so that helps. video and memory seem to be the biggest bottlenecks currently. upgrading those will get you the return you want. you can tweak your settings now to boost your frame rate by turning off bump rendering/shininess, disabling lights, and lowering your draw distance to 96 or 128 meters. you can also max out your cache size and bandwidth.
