I'm pretty upset because I have a Mobile Intel 945gm/gms/940gml express chipest or 945gt express chipset. (indentified with the intel chipset identification utility on intels website)
When I bought this laptop(inspirone1505 with windows xp media center) I bought it to have a somewhat inexpensive laptop that I could do some mmorpging on, and World of Warcraft works fine on my laptop, so I never thought anything about my chipsets sucking hardcore. I don't know alot about computers (obviously), but I trusted Dell to give me a computer with the capabilities they promised, gaming. (I even upgraded the graphics card option and more ram when i bought it, so i didn't think it was a bad buy(or a crappy graphics card since it was the highest upgrade option on the website)...guess i should have done alot more research =/)
That being said, I went to intel to update the drivers, and I was given the intel chipset family download page. On it were options to dl all the chipsets that my computer lists. So I am confused. Which chipset on the page do i dl if they all fit the chipset that is listed...do i dl them all? Grrr I am a moron and it po's me that i can't figure this out myself.
Also when I update my other drivers from the dell website, is it correct when they say "that file does not exist do you want me to create it" during the installation process?
I'm sorry to post these questions here, but i'm not sure where to post them otherwise.
Just as a fyi my big problem is that (i have tons of lag, it is starting to crash on my after about an hour or so, and when it crashes or if I do get to play long enough to log out when I want, it keeps running in the background and bogs my comp down slowing down the internet to unusable and not letting me turn off my computer)
Any help will be super appreciated (and thanks to Missy who gave me advice on my 1st thread).
