Many people (myself included) have been experiencing the "Phantom Zone" problem. When a user logs in, they are greeting with a message saying "Your clothing is still downloading" and are placed at 10,10,10. The only visible graphics are a slit of land and the sun/moon shining through it. The friends list will not load, Linden dollar balance does not show, and the inventory is inaccessible. Teleporting does not work.
Up until today I have been using the First Look viewer, but unfortunately that no longer works due to the update. I know my firewall settings are fine because SL runs fine on my laptop which is connected to the same router. I have cleared my cache, re-installed 5 times, and have changed my starting location. My graphics drivers are also completely up to date.
I have searched countless threads on this forum and have not been able to find a solution. Can we please solve this?
