I don't know, maybe I'm talking out of my rear, but with all this gawd-awful down time, business' are loosing money. Does anyone agree that Sim/Land owners should somehow be compensated for the down time? I recently had to let my sim go, simply because I couldn't afford the tier, and come Sept. I knew that there was NO WAY I was going to be able to afford it. I was paying $295 USD for a bunch of lag, crashing, and downtime. Thats just crazy if you ask me. I understand that the servers have various probs, and updates are an absalute necessity but my gawd! Now that gaming is no longer avaialble (right, wrong or indifrent) those sim owners are having to sell their island for dirt cheap and SL is having to increase rates to make up for the losses from lost gaming lands...I don't know, I think SL is getting greedy and in my own opinion, people are going to start getting tired of it and find a new 'addiction'.
I LOVE this 'game' but, I think the head honcho's are getting much too greedy, and I feel that the sim owners, business owners, and well, anyone who spends $USD to play this 'game' need to be compensated in someway for their losses....
Just MY opinion....

Just MY opinion.... Linden Lab gives you the option to enjoy or try SL for free, so you know what you get. You could have known the technical status of second life before you start to pay money. So I take SL as it is, and they can use my yearly membership fee, and monthly island tier to make SL better.

But SL is getting worse, not better. Yes, compensate I say.

Sometimes it looks like LL is using a "take the money and run" philosophy. yes they do look greedy, especially when you consider they are selling about 30 new sims a day, wrecking the economy by constantly creating new lindens from NOTHING, and price fixing the Lindex.
If they would stop price fixing lindex and limit new linden creation, we would profit from the increase in linden value, but we aren't. They are profiting from increased linden sales and leaving us out into the cold to eat the losses for ourselves. Wait until you see everybody cash out at once, and LL withdraws their constant 265L/$1.00 lindex buy order and you will see what I mean. When RL banks do that sort of thing, they go to jail.
Everybody who had money in land has suddenly seen their assets turn into nothing because of their never-ending new continent sales. I am pissed, and I don't think I am the only one. I feel like they are stealing from me, and they ARE. From all of us.

Yep indeed they do that, well let me tell you that I had a very good experience playing free membership. Really awesome game, till i bought land. Suddenly SL started crashing and acting weird and since then it has not been much better. Let's say that every time you think they fixed it, it's just a silence before the storm. So maybe you started out in a very difficult period for sl, i guess a few days after i bought my land because what you say is just bogus!

Lol my sales have dropped dramatically with search being borked half the time.. tp's not working half the time.. or just plain can't get in... Business is tough enough... LL is only making it less and less enjoyable.. I love making things, and I love it when someone buys something I make.. It's never been about the money for me.. I just used to at least make enough to cover expenses.. lately I can't even do that... Some sort of compensation would be nice... Hell a letter from LL saying how bad they screwed up would be even better lol.. but we all know it's working as intended

The will have to pay up now because this ain't funny anymore. First they put casino owners out of bussiness and now they are aiming for the rest is? How can you make a simple buck when there is no way to ever be able to start a normal bussiness when LL's only concern is to push me voice i don"t wan't!
Well here is my anwser! Voice will be disabled on my sim and i suggest every owner to disable it! Let's fuck the lindens like they fuck us! Let's kill their baby off by not making it unusable over the entire grid!

I had to disable the voice on my avatar because it kept spamming me with connect/disconnect text. Ever since they released the voice crap, I've been seeing major freezes for long periods and more crashes. I thought it was just me until last night when I discovered it was rampant.
