This is one area of SL I know very little about. Does anybody know where any documentation is?

I'm pretty sure he's not asking how to get it, but asking about it. Documentation on what each setting does and what not.

try the support wiki
www.secondlife.com/tiki/ (use the search at the bottom of the link above) but there really isn't any organized documentation on it. _____________________

After you have read what you can find on it, try some trial and error. Just choose an option and see what it does. The debug settings will default back to normal when you relog, so dont worry about breaking anything.
