So, I have this spiffy new Fujitsu Lifebook N6460. Ati Mobility Radeon HD2600, 1g of Shared, 2 gigs RAM, Centrino Duo 1.8 ghz, this thing totally whoops my XP using desktop with an ATI Radeon X1600 pro. Why won't SL run? Latest drivers from Fujitsu AND ATI don't make it work. Is my card not supported? It's not listed as not supported by LL. Somebody help!

Blame Ati's drivers for that.

Youre better off installing win xp either dualboot or format / install winxp, way easier then fiddling with ati's opengl driver mess in vista ~.~

I installed Vista on a notebook with Radeon Mobility drivers, and SL would not start.

Here is what I did to get it working....

[EDIT]Forgot to add - uninstall your current ATI drivers first

Go to http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32/commonprevious-vista32.html and download Catalyst 7.5 - yes i know they are old, but the newer drivers would not work with SL on this notebook I used, they were the newest ones that would. These are the drivers for the standard Radeon (not mobility) but dont worry about that - it will work.

Once downloaded, go to http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/ and follow the instructions EXACTLY - this will patch the ATI standard drivers so you can install them on your mobility device.

When done, cross your fingers and SL *should* fire up just fine
