Ok, I noticed some bizarre behaviour by SL when changing X resolutions before rerunning SL.
This bizarreness will fix the Linux/WineX windowed mode issue :) (Gimme a woot!)
  1. Make sure your SL will run in fullscreen mode. (Uninstall/Reinstall or edit settings.ini file)
  2. Launch then close SL
  3. Close X and set it to run at the next highest resolution
  4. Run SL and it will complain about not being able to run at the previous resolution and that it will switch to windowed mode. This will be successful! :eek: :D :rolleyes: :cool: :p ;)
  5. Resize the window to fit on your previous screen resolution size
  6. Close SL and X and configure X back to previous resolution
  7. Start X and start SL. WINDOWED MODE FIXED!! (Gimme another woot! :D )
