My laptop crashed nearly every time i come in sl the past few months..

The whole screen freezes then everything on the screen is enlarged..
The only real option is to hold the power button in to shut my system down.

I've been to dell forums, intel forums, microsoft forms and also sl forums.
I thought i had the problem fixed from some assistance from a dell forums user.

IALMRNT5 error is what i get in a popup window.

Something to do with my driver display i see in the error report.

Has anyone else had simular problems recently?

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 6000.. it was never gonna be the ultimate gaming
experience with this laptop but it's got me in sl for the past few years untill now.

Hey Sounds,

This happens all the time with me... Same exact situation.. I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 laptom so it's def. not a gaming machine. I guess I should just feel lucky to be able to play.

Heya,

Yea these are definetly not up to gaming standards, and i aint much of a gamer cept for sl.
I use my brother's new dimension sometimes, runs sl perfectly, but that's a desktop.
Was discussing this with a guy in sl a few months back, i said i was thinkin of upgrading
to the dell xps lol, he said don't bother, i did that, that's what i'm on now n it still sucks.
I thought the xps would be much better as it has all the right requirements unlike inspiron.

I can run mine on my dell laptop.. However in high traffic areas, the harddrive would be working overtime, and it would make it almost unplayable. Thats the main problem with laptops.. In other areas though it would be fine.
