I'm trying to log into SL on a laptop, which is updated and should be able to handle SL. I can login, but as the mar moves to the right to download my clothes, or the window pops up about Streaming music, SL just shuts down, not even logging out. I don't even get an option to send Crash Report the next time i start SL.
Anyone have any tips?

Still no answer from LL when i emailed support, except for them asking for logs and things like that Saturday morning. The reply asking for logs had very bad grammer too. I'm at wits end trying to get this laptop to run SL, and I'm not getting any help anywhere.

I got the exact same problem but on my PC!!! ANYONE HELP!!!
I just register with this Second life thing but cant even know what it looks like as i cant figured out how to solve this problem and after sending 5 tickets by phone and 4 emails, i still wait for answers as i cant get a hold of someone to help me on this either!!!
Anyone having this same problem but with a solution so that i dont pay montly fees for a useless game that cant even start by itself without crashing my PC! are we back in the windows 3.1 time ??? never saw an online game with so many bugs report and problems daily!
You will probalby ask if my PC can run the game? the answers is hell yeah and why would i be able to plays WOW or FFXI but not that SL thing?? i dont get it but please help me out!!!

It sounds as if you're on a pc lappie but in case you might be using a Mac, streaming music in the ogg format will crash a Mac right quick. I'd get into your preferences and shut down the internal audio streamer before logging in again if that's the case. VLC or Quicktime (w/the ogg plugin) will allow Mac users to stream ogg w/out the aggrivation of crashing.

No mac for me

Thanks for your reply but sadly i us a PC not a Mac and what's strange about this game so far is since 1998, i have never seen a game that need to be manualy customised to be playable...you install, you register, you login, you have fun playing or so i thought...
i'm using XP familly version, 2 x 512 Barets, ATI Radeon 9200,DSL , I can easily run any MMORPG available online like Wow,FFXI,Entropia, Phantasy star Universe??? so why cant this game work for me?
i do have the latest quicktime instaled...do it need to be configured? So far i was able to get connected for 3 time about 2 min each time and everytime i click on something or move or try to do something in this game , my computer crash down.
sometime the PC stay open but the Screen close down saying "No signal" or worst, the graphic screw up and my PC turn into 800x600 with the lowest possible graphic telling me that some peripheric goes wrong after the SL.exe was running.
Or in the best of luck it simply drag me out of the game trying to send the Crash report....
To tell the truth i'm a bit confuse on how so many pple can play this game as i'm totaly unsatify after the first 10 min of registration and so far have not been able to get someone on the phone or either a Reply on my email??? What left? this forum were i've seen that 50% of the post are regarding complaining or bug report....never face this situation since my last Window 98 back then....but it was Bill faults not the exe.
Well any kind of help would be really apreciated!!
