Hi all I have a problem hope someone may be able to help with....

I installed a new PNY Tech 128MB Nvidia GeForce 6200 Video card today and loaded SL...

I Downloaded all the new drivers and was running SL fine...

Then all of a sudden the screen goes blank and all I can see is the room in SL in which I am in, and no avies or no detail. Just the room I am in. Then a second later it pops back to normal as if nothing happened. The Screen shift is quick, sometimes it is 2-3 seconds and other times about 5.

I am not sure what the heck is going on, but I am running the following equipment and temps...

AMD Athlon 2500 XP
Soyoteck Motherboard
512MB RAM
350W Power Supply (I think mayby 400W I dont think that is the problem though)
2 cooling fans
CDRW drive
DVD Rom Drive
2 Hard Drives

I check my temps and whenever it does it the system is in normal for my pc ....

CPU runs at 45-50C and the Vid card was running at 34C.

Anyone have any idea why it is doing this or run into this problem before?

Thanks for any help.

try running other 3d programs (ie 3dmark) see if it glitches up ... make shure its not a screwy video card ( Altho ive had 4 PNY cards, its a good brand, stuff does happen)

(and that power supply requirement is sorta bs, i have a 6600GT 2 fans 2 HD's and 2 Cd drives and 2 other pci cards on a 300watt ps with NO problems, or more heat)

I'm running a GeForceFX 5500 256mb AGP and the opposite happens to me sometimes. The floor, wall, or even a whole building will blink out of existance and back again. I think this is a known issue though in 1.8.

Ran 3dMark on the new Graphics card and it found no problems. It scored in the 2000 's somwhere I think.

I did notice one thing though, I turned the detail on object avatar and trees down a little bit and the problem was better. It is intermitten, but not as much when the detail is lower. I will raise it back up to see if that truly is the problem, but through I would let you all know.

Thanks for the help all.
