Teleport between sims?

Can you make and install a teleporter that teleports you between sims?

Or if you can't do that, can you put in a thing that automatically generates a landmark card that somebody could press on and teleport to that other sim?

I'm not sure what you're asking for...

There is no point-to-point teleport system, UNLESS you have a friend at the location you wish to go to. Then they can offer you a direct teleport to your location.

Landmarks can teleport you to the nearest teleport hub, but you'll still have to follow the beacon to the location.

You could put a land mark in an object, and have the scripted object give it to who ever click on it.

Attempting to use the sit-teleport trick to cross sims will almost certianly cause you to hit the sim crossing bug and get your avitar knocked out of the world untill you reboot. This has happened to me before (although I can't say I *wanted* to be teleported out of the sim...)

Landmarks can be given from objects in the way notecards are, but you still have to fly to the location from the nearest telehub if you use it to teleport.

OK, that's the thing I could use in a store I guess then.

But I do wonder -- why can't there be teleporters between sims? I mean, there's the official telehubs. But isn't there a way for players to make their own telehubs where they want them to be?

Does it ever happen that players petition the Lindens to have a telehub installed someplace?
