Hello all, I know there have to be people here that are running SL in Linux. I recently gave up on Windows and moved totally to Linux. That means I have spent a lot of time re-installing my games. SL is the last game I am setting up and I cannot get it to work. I have heard rumor of a native Linux client sometime in the future. Is this coming or is it vaporware? Please be honest. If it's not in the works yet what would it take to get it? Money? Would people be willing to make a donation to get a client native to their platform? I would!
I will be buying a new computer soon and was wondering if a MAC would be as good for running SL.
This is not meant to start a Mac vs. Linux vs. Windows flamewar. I am trying to get a couple of answers and get people's opinion.
Thanks in advance for helping out!

You know Nag I just don't know what to say - I joined SL in Jan. 04 and upgraded OSx so it could run the Mac Beta SL. SL on the Mac platform still need lots of improvement - unless your running a newer G5. You might want to check the Tech -> Mac Forum for some Excellent! comments.

Quick post:
1- Native client is being worked on, ETA is currently 1.7, although could be earlier according to previous reports which pinned it near 1.6.5 (although presently I doubt this, 1.7 is more realistic)
2- WineX works. It just needs a little tweaking. WineX 3.3 is all but guarunteed to work, however I also recently got the latest (4.3.2) Cedega release to work.

Adam would you mind posting how you got SL working in 4.3.2? Mine is always crashing. The install went ok but I cannot start the client.
