Hi all..

Any help would be appreciated...

I was in SL earlier chatting in IM on my Private Island, I crashed, went to log back in but the grid was down. I left it till the Lindens said the grid was back up and tried again, Still un able to login and I get this message :
"Login Failed, Secondlife cannont be accessed from this computer. If you feel this is an error please contact support@secondlife.com"
I have sent a ticket obviously but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so what they did to correct it.
I have been running SL on the same WinXP based computer for around 7 months, never had a problem before.
Anyone got an idea as to what my problem is?
This is a pain as I have two businesses and also other commitments that need daily attention.

Thanks In Advance...
My withdrawals are setting in fast!

EDIT...Just tried logging in agsin snd this popped up.

O.o! This usually means that LL has blocked your IP address because some doubt has arisen as to your being a good SL citizen. Perhaps a large monetary transfer has triggered a risk API investigation, or you have been accused of major griefing that is being looked into, or even you have been confused with someone else.

You should contact LL as soon as possible, if you have access to Live Chat or Concierge service try those. It may free up on its own if LL comes to the conclusion that nothing is wrong with you, but it's best to be proactive.

<edit> It can also happen if someone else at your IP address has been abusing the service; that is, nothing to do with your own account.

I don't know why they would of blocked my account, I have never griefed, I did buy 5000$L earlier but thats not a large amount.
LiveChat never loads and how would I find a Conierge service?
Don't think anyone else has access to my IP as it's a personal computer only used at home.

Thanks for your help Nika.

That's odd, that's the system specs from the About/Help screen. You DO have a rather minimal system for SL ... 512MB and a Pentium 4 is pretty marginal.

While waiting for support to get back to you, you might try uninstalling and reinstalling. If I were you, I would try Nicholaz's BE-w version:
http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/2008/05/release-bleeding-edge-be-w.html

It's based on a pre-Windlight LL client, is very stable, and seems to have no memory leaks (unlike LL's released versions). I would also delete the application data directory for SL before reinstalling. You will have to reset your preferences.

In XP the folder is (delete the whole thing):
C:\Documents and Settings\<your userid>\Application Data\SecondLife

conversely go to second life home page, click support, click live chat in the lower right, once there you should see:

* Click here to start Concierge Live Chat
* Concierge phone number: toll free 877-236-0711 (US/Canada); not free 703-286-2738

Click on Click here to start Concierge Live Chat

of course this only works if you pay more than 125 a month to LL, not an estate owner.
