My daughter-in-law joined SL yesterday. She was on about 3 hours and then crashed. Everytime she tried to logon, she crashed immediately. I can log on her computer with my av and have no problems at all. She can logon on my computer and also has no problems. We can't do a ticket because she has a basic account.
It makes no sense.....
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Addendum: she has created another avatar and can get on SL on her computer. It seems the problem may have to do with a shape or skin she added to her original av yesterday..... is there a way to fix that without getting rid of the shape and/or skin? They were both purchased at very reputable vendors.
This is making us both crazy...lol

Clear cache

It's hard to fathom how a skin or shape could cause your DIL to crash, but it may be a problem in the cache for her main avatar. Simply start the SL program and do not log-in. Instead, click the Preferences button, select Network, and choose to clear the cache. Then Quit and start the SL program again, this time going through the usual log-in. What makes the cache the likely problem is that she can log-in from your computer; the only thing different then would be the cache on the two computers. The cache is the local storage place on your hard drive that the SL program uses to save downloading textures, animations, etc. from the server that are used in recently visited places. [/INDENT]

We cleared cache several times, dumped SL and downloaded 3 times over the last 24 hours and still nothing. Thanks though for the input.
