Fourth Day In a Row

For four days now, I've had to wait at least a hour to get into Second Life, trying turning off firewall, turning it on, tweaking things in preferences, putting back in normal spot, changing my log in area, uninstall reinstall. I know from people that I talk to in game and the posts I see here about it that it's been a common problem. I have only seen two posts by Lindens on the issue, one saying it's known and it;'s being worked on and the other saying that it's peak time. I've tried logging in at non peak times and had the same issue. I guess it'd be nice to know what they (Lindens) know and an estimated time of the problem occuring (i.e. if I have to do this every night for the next three weeks, second life might be worth as much to me, but another three days, okay, fine sorta deal).

BTW, This is my only problem with the game, everything else I'm able to cope with.

I hear you Katja... I've had to wait often till 11pm CST to get into game. Friends were beginning to wonder if the drama monster ran me off! I have to tell them no, the Log in Monster is relentlessly keeping me out!


a frustrated and forum bound angel

It's not even just the login problem. Once I finally DO manage to get in, I am unable to teleport anywhere successfully, 80% of the time. Half the time I do get in, my avie is either invisible, grey, or female. The login process itself is excruciating, and 4 days of it?Yes, frustrating, yes it's just a game. But it is indeed big bucks in the online gaming world that we pay to play. I think of it the way I think of my own RL work...if I were this slow about getting the job done, I sure would expect my bosses to be calling me in. In other words, a precise update on when we can expect a resolution (hopefully with no vague techie answers) is badly, badly needed.

I agree. Tonight my problem has changed to the annoying clock message, every SINGLE time. Tried changing the clock back a day, didn't work. Wonder if I put it back to Sunday, the last day I really played normally??? hm...*scratches chin* *wanders out of forums to start her next attempt*
