Teleport Elevation Support broken?

Since 1.9 release (And this happened to me in the preview grid as well), any LM I use that would materialize me at an elevation over the ground now simply lands me at ground level. These LMs are all around the 200 to 300 meter up level and worked prior to 1.9.

Are elevated LMs no longer supported?

They have a bug with the map not allowing teleports to higher than 255 meters using the llMapDestination function. I have already reported it as a bug.

EASY TP 3.7 as been changed to deal with this - final hopper should now take you to your required location.

Thanks Kokoro for letting me know

Thanks Linden for removing the on_rez() functions and introducing CHANGED_TELEPORT

(And then telling us AFTER you installed it )

Issue between sims only

On further testing, the teleport using elevated LMs works if you're already in the same sim as the LM (Like a skybox). If you're teleporting there from a diffrent sim, you land at ground level. It's obviously a communication error in the way sims send data to each other in 1.9.

On a positive note, I love how teleportation is instantanious now without the entire saving of multiple attachments delay. :)

Why is this not listed in the known issues for 1.9 ?

I thought is was a fairly glaring error !!

My apologies, folks. I'm responsible for 1.9 clamping llMapDestination vectors to positions between 0,0,0 and 254,254,254. I didn't know people relied on it working for positions outside that range.

I've changed the code to go back to the old behavior. This will ship with the next server patch, probably 1.9.0.18, probably in a week or so.

Sorry,

James
