Hi Everyone,
My search and edit windows got buried in the bottom of my screen and I can't retreive them. I tried doing the ctrl function hoping it would pop up, but it hasn't helped a bit. Any help out there?

Several ways:
1) Edit / Preferences and adjust the UI Size slider (depending on which viewer you're using it's either under "General" or the "Graphics" tab).
Drag that slider all the way to the left and click OK to dismiss the Preferences window, then if the Chat button is highlighted (a yellow outline around it) click that as well to hide the chat bar.
Then click the Search and see if you see it appear, drag it back to the top-left and do the same for the Edit window.
After that, just click Chat again for the chatbar, and put UI Size back to 1.0 (or whatever value you had it at before)
2) If you're using SL full-screen: Edit / Preferences / Graphics and pick a larger "Display Resolution" than you have set currently, then open search and move it back to the top-left and reset your resolution back to what it was.
3) More drastic but guaranteed to get both back if the above two didn't help (make sure SL is closed before):
Windows: Open Explorer (the regular one) In the address bar type (and enter after): %APPDATA%
Open the "Second Life" folder there, then the "user_settings" folder
Mac: Library/Application Support/Second Life/user_settings
Delete the settings.xml file from that folder and start SL again, you'll now start with all the default settings again so you might have to adjust a few things again to get back to the way things were.
