avatar problem

I just recieved second life and I downloaded it , crashing problem fixed, but now I can only turn avatar in circles she won't move forward or backwards or side to side any suggestions the the problem??? Any help would be greatly appreciated I love this game so far!

This usually happens to me when my connection gets interupted or cut, because, I believe..

Turning is local, so its done on your PC sorta, but moving at all (backwards/forwards) requires information to be sent/recieved to/from the servers..

So I suppose if your using a router it could be blocking your connection to SL.. but someone very knowledgable and half my SL age will come along and say all this a lot better than me :p

Yes what Zap said more or less. You may find you can also chat as well. Reason is SL uses many ports for various data streams. If one is interrupted or blocked you will see this in a variety of manifestations.

Reset your router or modem or both and see if that helps.

Umm how do I rest my modem just unply it and plug it back in or what??? I'm lost sorry, thanks for your help though.

Yes that is a method if there is no reset button.
You will need to relog Secondlife.

Thank you for your help I will try this and hopefully get to explore second life for the first time sense I joined. Maybe even make it out of orientation land who knows.

I reset my modem and relog and it still didn't do anything any other suggestions???please help me.
