I did a search but wasn't about to really find an answer, but is it normal when I look at everyones avatar in daylight, for it to look poorly lit in the face? Everyone looks great in softer light but seems like in sunlight the mesh doesnt look to be lighting well. I wasn't sure if this is normal and well known or something else? I assume it's the "daytime" light since people look fine at night or as the "sun sets."

Do you have local lighting on? Shadows?

Is Avatar Vertex Program on? Does turning it off make it look better or worse?

Yeah I have tried all those setting but people look more harsh in day light to me unless directly facing the sun or their back to it. Not sure why. I know it's not my card or anything, I'm working with a new engine freelance that has excellent lighting and other games seem fine, I think it might just be from the manipulating the mesh on avatars. It's just their faces really, architecture and everything else lights well.
