Anyone know where I can find drivers that work for a GeForce2 GO 32MB video card? I've been to DELL, Micrsoft, and nvidia's sites to get the latest drivers, but SL pops up with a message saying the drivers are unsupported and out of date. Just reformatted the HD and don't have any drivers at the moment besides basic Microsoft drivers.

Check to see if your drivers are actualy updating, the drivers from nvidia.com never supported your video card, it is almost 7 years old (November, 2000 was when it was on the market) making it pretty old and the drivers from DELL probably stopped updating it a while ago. I highly suggest you try the drivers and modified INF file from http://laptopvideo2go.com/ they should work seeing as there are a lot of people with your video card in their forums. Also note, the 80 series drivers stopped support for a lot of legacy video cards, so you may wanna try the 70 series. |

I have a Dell Inspiron 8100, with the 1600 x 1200 LCD and the GeForce 2 Go 32 MB card.
The drivers I use, which seem to work best everywhere, are: 6.14.10.4482 Dated 6/24/2003 Which are really old drivers, but SL has never complained to me about them... - Jon _____________________

Gads I hate Microsoft for so many reasons... and to add fuel to the fire...
After downloading driver set after driver set I noticed older drivers would install, but never take effect. Curious as to why I searched the web for a while but didn't find an answer. Opening up the device manager I went to uninstall the MS video driver when I noticed: nVidia GeForce2 (Microsoft Corporation) next to the device name. Meaning it still was suckling on the MS drivers. I went to manually add drivers not using the automatic driver search (as it never found the nVidia drivers) and told it to take the 84.30 drivers from: http://laptopvideo2go.com/ Sure enough the MS drivers were done away with and the new driver set was installed. A royal pain in the tail, but now I can take SL with me and can leave my desktop home. ![]() _____________________
