Well, I'm glad to see the patch has been so effective... three crashes in under an hour, no tp and all the old problems.
My only consolation is all the cheap land I'm picking up as people leave.

I havn't been able to play for three straight minutes without a freeze. The log ins work great, but it's still totally unplayable.

Technically, crashing is unrelated to the login problems. What happens when you crash? Is there a message displayed?
What motherboard, CPU and video card are you running? Are you running the latest drivers for them?

I've only crashed 2 or 3 times within about 5 or 6 hours... I don't understand how people are having so much trouble

Yep, once the logging problems were rectified with a 2nd update to the client on Tuesday, everything seems just fine. You folks need to remember that after any significant update to any online world, like Second Life, there will be a HORDE of people trying to login to see what's new and what's been changed. That alone will swamp the login servers, which is why we have been having login problems since the beginning of this year. Imagine if Second Life aired a commercial during the Super Bowl. Do you think you'd be able to login during half-time? Ha!

Since the update I've had no log in problems or crashing problems what so ever, the only problem I seem to have is when people give me a catagory, but I saw they are knocking the DB down for an hour to fix that, so, instead of "not" I say: nice fix, YES!
