I'm trying to use llRezAtRoot right now, and it's just being bizarre. I want to rez a single linked object (NOT a composite object, I know that's buggy) at the single-prim rezzer's positon and rotation (obtained with llGetPos and llGetRot). Instead, it rezzes it at some weird offset and rotation, which seem to be related to the rotation the object was at when I put it into the rezzer's inventory. What's going on here?

Edit: Maybe this should be in the scripting tips forum?

Probably.

Don't know what to say.

After a little more testing, I've discovered what the offset is about.

Apparently, llRezAtRoot is treating one of the child prims as the root prim. Thing is, it was the root prim at one time, but then I linked it with another object, making a different prim the root.

Looks like we have a nice little bug on our hands.

Edit: I just unlinked and re-linked the object, and now it's treating a different child prim as the root! What the heck?!?

Edit 2: Okay, this is absurd. It seems to keep choosing the "second in command" prim. No matter what I try, I can't get llRezAtRoot to actually Rez At Root.
