If it makes you feel better, I get it too and a few of my friends report the same symptoms. As a test, i would load up a webpage and click around to find that the internet connection is just fine. I would only say that this is caused by hicups with SL but sometimes it just stays like that forever which is strange.

We're getting a LOT of reports from people with firewall or internet security programs. Something about 1.7 is causing the major internet security programs out there (I'm looking at you, Norton, McAfee, and ZoneAlarm), to interfere with our network data, all the while listing us as a "trusted" program.
Removing and manually re-adding this "trusted" permission has cleared up a lot of issues for a lot of people. It's certainly not the only thing that's going wrong, but if you have this kind of software installed, you owe it to yourself to spend a few minutes reconfiguring it. http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechConfigFirewall |
