Hi Hunter. Well, please do go on -- what sort of graphics card are you using, for example?

OpenGL is the standard cross-platform 3d rendering library. That error probably means that you haven't installed the proper video drivers. If you have a laptop, you may have some problems installing the official ones from Nvidia's site, but try those first. If you can't, download the latest ones from Toshiba's site.

As a warning; Any GeForce 4 MX is really considered absolute-minimum-spec by us; they're GeForce 2's for all intents and purposes. (Bad naming convention on nVidia's part.) The 420's are the slowest of the 4MX's, and a mobile version will typically have even lower performance.
Drivers should help a lot, but I'd recommend hitting our Preferences Guide once you get it running: http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Preferences+Guide |
