Help on land music

Okay i havebought several devices and none are working correctly. So I must be doing something wrong. Do I have to have a music URL to listen to music?No I have a dj stand and a raster radio but unless I pyt an address in the url I don'thear music. So if I do that I don't get the other 2 items to work they do not change channels and play music. they will change channels I just get whatis in the URl. Nothing els How do I go about this. Please help

Yes, you have to have a URL to put in the land media tab. That's the way it works - sl provides the URL to the client and the client connects directly to the server (bypassing the SL servers). You also need a URL that works in SL - SL doesn't usually like the full URLs that a Winamp or iTunes would accept - it just (usually) wants the URL up through the port number (the numbers just after the ":";) so http://wickedkarma.com:9051 works but http://wickedkarma.com:9051/playlist.m3u won't. Btw, that first example should actually work fine - it's Wicked Karma Live - try using that as a test.

Your problem is most likely that your land is group owned. Only group owned objects can change music on group owned land. Most radios provide you with a solution, usually a relay that should be deeded to the group, or sometimes the radio can be deeded. Have a look into the documentation that came with your radio.
