Can't log in wont shake hands

All I know is that when I try to log in everything seem to go go fine.... untill it says it's
"Waiting for region handshake..." at which point the window reverts to a mix between the opening screen and thin in play screen... meaning all the in play toolbars are still on the screen, but underneath that is the Secondlife log in screen. Also there's an error window that pops up reading "Unable to connect. Login packet nevr recieved by login server. Please try again in a few minutes, or click help for advice and a link to the systems status webpage." and clicking help closes the window. When I try to log in later it tells me it's still trying to log me in from another area. or... it just does the same thing... please help me...

This may be a problem with the sim you are trying to connect to.

With Second Life closed try clicking the link at the bottom of my signature and choosing Teleport now. If you manage to log in, report your problem to a linden.

If not, it's most likely a problem connecting from your end, I would need more details on your connection and system to get a good picture of the problem.

thanks, worked like a charm, I had a feeling it was the sim, but wasn't aware of how to change w/o logging in...
