Ok, this is getting a bit annoying now. For the last three days i have been unable to teleport, which means i have been unable to teleport to land that i own. If i attempt to log in to my home land or to my last log in location, i get a error that the hello packet was not received. If i type in "teleport" to region and put in a region i know is up, i get told it is down and moved to a new area. I keep ending up in a group of four different places, always one of the same four sims. There always full of new players, so i was at first blameing it on the server load from yahoo. I'am occupying myself now helping these new folk out but i can't teleport out of the sim i end up in.

I'am on a wireless connection, but it was working flawless before these past three days. Farther more, i can ping the SL servers just fine without issue, but then when i attempt to log in i get told i can't connect to it with a hello packet. My ISP does not block any of SL's ports and they are quite open for me. Everything is confiqured correctly, i have no problem doing anything once i'am in world, i just can't leave the sim i end up in.

Any help is appericated.

Note: My wireless "connection" is to a access point tied to a standard ethernet network.

Are the sims you always end up called "Help Island" or "Orientation Island"? Maybe you ended up there due to a glitch in the system and are now treated like a new resident.
If that's the case, go to the green "EXIT"-sign on the Help Island. Click the sign below the green "EXIT" to be teleported to a welcome area on the mainland. From there you should be able to teleport again.

Otherwise, on which sims do you usually end up? But it doesn't sound like a network problem to me....

The welcome area sims seem to be overloaded today.

I was not able to teleport from there, I had to fly out of the sims to leave... and at one point had to lead a "stuck" newbie over to Rizal so they could teleport out. This obviously led to MORE overload in the welcome area.

They really need to get that second welcome area on the South continent taking up some of the slack post haste.

Have you tried getting someone to offer you a teleport? Perhaps after walking out of the sims you keep starting in?

You might try starting SL by clicking on a shortcut like this secondlife://plum

I'm having this same problem as well.

My first day on Second Life was great and a co-worker was showing me around the world. For the past two days not I haven't been able to teleport at all either. I'm stuck inside this one bar. I can stream music, but my clothes won't load, and it seems like I can't see any chats going on even though I see other people in the room.

What is going on here?

And you actually believe him putting in a request for help will get this problem solved right away knowing the Lindens reputation for fixing things and fixing them properly??

Wishful thinking.

last few days teleporting has been a problem either by yourself or someone tping you. Just another problem added to the tons of tech problems already here.
