I'm building a club, and spent a good part of the day putting together some pretty intricate assemblies for the club, and just now, after going out and buying one of the centerpieces of the club, a gorgeous Grand Piano from Serenity, I took it to the club and unpacked it, and nearly fell over.. The piano had no legs!! nor did the piano bench, nor the candelabras that came with the piano.. I carefully put the piano away, since its no-copy.. When rezzing what I'd spent most of the day working on, I find that several pieces of the build that have minutely positioned textures, are missing..I tried deleting and re-rezzing the item, and this time, additional parts of it were missing... I know the parts were there when I saved the final copy this afternoon... Pardon me for saying what I feel many are thinking, but HOW THE HELL CAN ANYONE BUILD UNDER CONDITIONS LIKE THIS???? (whew.. That felt good!) ... It seems to be getting worse.. During the day, I noticed times when it took nearly a minute to rez a non-trival build.. I guess I should have quit while I was ahead... Helloooo??.. LL? Can you hear me?? Work on SCALEABILITY of your $@@$#@ asset servers, and quit adding all the eye-candy!!!!!!! With all the darned updates they do, you'd think they'd get this one right, since without the asset servers, all SL is an basic IRC client.. I swear at times like this, I want to sell my 1+ acre of land, de-tier, and go back to basic.... Sorry about the rant, but I cannot possibly be the only one seeing this BS..... Tas

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling your client? Sometimes that helps with being able to see some things that appear to be missing but which really are not. I know, I've done the uninstall/reinstall thing four or five times since the last update, but it's worked at least to keep me from 'losing' things that really aren't lost, just not visible to me.

Building in SL is a joke now, to many bugs to bother anymore, things that took a few hours take days now , tons of new people zero new sandboxes, havnt seen any build bugs fixed in months, other then the ones they made when SL update day, and broke some other build tool, to busy getting new sims and griefer alts "They're still talking about money, that's right and too much of heaven. C'mon my friend. Let me tell you what it's all about, it's called money dependence today, and people just keep on going on looking at the dollar bill, and nothing else around them. No love, no friendship, Nothing else, just the dollar bill coming on into their pocket," into their bank account, and that's too much of heaven bringing them underground" SL commersialism, ignore customers, make new things that horrible to use to many customers to litte helpers, griefers paradise, SL no fun anymore
Promises Promises Promises , liers liers ^.^;

Update: Looks like once the 10,000+ residents, that were on last night, are no longer on (webpage shows about 4,700 now at 3:50am), my missing parts magically reappear... Which tells me its not my client, but that LL is not keeping up with scaling their asset servers to the number of residents online at a given time, or Peak Demand. In a service that's growing as fast as SL is, you have to keep up with things like this, or you're going to annoy your paying customers, and in the case of SL, your paying customers become non-paying customers.. In most businesses, if a customer becomes disenchanted with the company's service, they close their account, here you can downgrade from premium to basic, and still enjoy the social aspects and the utterly unbelievable capabilities of SL.. I expect the ability to downgrade from Premium to Basic to go away in the near future, if LL continues their current trend.. I love SL, am probably addicted to it, but if push comes to shove, I could find other places for the $32.50 I send to LL every month... Tas PS: Hi, Usagi!!
