I'm sure everyone's going to say "read the FAQs" and "the Wiki's got the answers." Well, they don't.

System specs:
Windows XP SP2
Pentium 4 2.4GHz
1.5 GB DDR RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 (128MB DDR SDRAM)
ECS Mobo (865PE-A v.2)
System BIOS of 2/3/2005 (newest available AwardBIOS for ECS)
Video Drivers 84.21 (1-2 months ago)
DirectX 9.0c support

When I try to launch the game, it yells at me "Out of date Intel drivers." (No, I have never successfully played the game on this machine. Yes, it is custom-built. No, there are no Anti-anythings running on it. Yes, I can play practically every other game on this rig, including 3D-intensive ones like HalfLife2, Tomb Raider Legend, and Doom3.)

What's up with that? What can be done to rectify this show-stopping behavior? Please help!

I see you have the newer bios, but do you have the latest intel mobo drivers?

Hi Ron Overdrive,

The motherboard is an ECS, and I have the latest available (likewise for the BIOS).

Nothing of Intel's would work because the system is not identified as an Intel-branded product -- unless anyone can direct me to an Intel Chipset updater which doesn't care what brand the board is.

Thx.
