Intermittent asset issues <--- this fixed now?

I lost a bunch of stuff because of this. Is it fixed and will that stuff be returned? I love how this was never mentioned again in the blog yesterday and people just went on playing but I know a large amount of people suffered from it. I'm hoping the items aren't lost. Can't keep buying things back.

We are currently investigating some intermittent issues regarding assets at the moment. These issues are manifesting themselves as an inability to rez, attach or take an object; attachments failing to rez; texture uploads not completing; and, in some cases, scripts failing to save. Our operations team is working to resolve this as quickly as they can.

Nope, this isn't fixed.

In fact, it appears to be a great deal worse

Myself and my girlfriend have had this issue a couple times now. And its to the point I am really sick of loosing high dollar items.

Seriously people can not keep affording to keep buying needed items over and over because SL is "loosing" them. And the items still counting against the prim limits of the land.

I was having problems getting into SL and I finally got in and I tried it this time on some junk I didn't care about and the problem was still there. This is messed up. I hope we will get these things back we lost. This is getting expensive for me too. I can't believe they can't fix this.

What I notice everytime is when I select the object that I want to take back in the hourglass comes up on the cursor, there's this long pause then nothing. There's a ghost version of the object on the ground i can now walk through. I log out and back in and nothing is there.

Pretty much the exact issue Myself and my Girlfriend is having. And Myself and her and a few partners are trying to get a club up and running .... and this is really setting us back.

Yes... and last time it happened to me before it did again 2 days ago and yesterday, I could find the items back to 0,0,0 on my sim... but not this time.

If it's not your sim I wonder if these items will be returned asap when they "fix" this? It sucks to lose stuff and I feel like the game is a big waste of money and more importantly, time. I was just heavily thinking of buying a sim too just maybe 20 mins before I found this bug at about 11 am CST Tuesday. No way now. The inventory issue has gone on for too long and they look the other way and add more and more features and never resolve the one thing I would wish more than anything to be fixed - inventory loss. Where I work, people would be fired for this. Then again these Lindens aren't professional level game designers in my opinion. I'm sorry to be mad but this is frustrating losing items.

It's upsetting too when some of my friends told me they just bought a 10k item and it's gone. I sort of sold them on that item, and the day they happen to buy it, SL acts weird. We get that little tiny blog post, no follow-up. A patch and yeah now I can find textures on stuff i build but I can't build now or place stuff i bought in the build, cause it disappears.

Someone should contact the Guinness Book of World Records, and get Linden Labs in there as being the biggest screw-ups in the history of game development ever! They win this award hands down.

well I'm getting annoyed, I have a deadline to get something done and this is the second time I can't do anything due to the asset issues..

Still can't save scripts

I just tried to rez and take items in 25 different and random sims. Same lost inventory issue. I wish they'd stop working on the Voice First Look Viewer stuff in the blog, and focus on the inventory, the most important thing in the game.

Twice today I've had objects that I was wearing as attachments get deleted by the system with no trace left whatsoever. It hasn't been this damned bad in several months. I can't believe I have to deal with this yet again.

i hope we get this stuff back, it's a pain in the ass to go back to the creators and wait and we shouldn't have to do that to begin with. I hope they fix all this nonsense and get our things returned that they lost. When it was happening thursday they should have been smart enough to take down the grid and look into it. Now it's just worse.



The funny thing is this post - [ 4:04] Problems with the asset server may include inventory loss, objects rezzed may not load and may not return to your inventory. Please be cautious about using your inventory during this time. We will update as we have more information.


They should have taken it down on Tuesday to save people problems but they didn't care to listen to the reports. I hope they find a way for this stuff to be returned.

Isn't that sort of like voting for "word processor should actually save file when file is saved"?

asset issues still seem to be happening even after fix, can not save scripts

I lost a total of 18 items on tuesday due to this... almost ever person i talked to lost something... today i just watched someone lose 3 objects due to this issue.. someone needs to get their behind in gear and actually look into this issue because the hardware switch didn't work.. obviously things are no ok..

The sad part is they expect us accept the loss too.
