Ridiculous Skin Problem

Okay, so, this glitch occured yesterday when I was taking off and putting on some clothes. For whatever reason, it changed my skin to a solid black color and it appears to be permanent since I've tried aboslutely EVERYTHING to fix it. This is absolutely frustrating. -_-

Exhibit A.

Also, in this image there's a texture that I do not even have. The Smashing Pumpkins? It's not even in my inventory, so I'm hoping that this is some sort of server-side issue. :/

Noticed this happening more and more for me to, looks very corrupted in appearance, only way to change/fix it is to wear another skin, then wear some other clothes over that, then switch back to the skin thats black.

rebaking textures do nothing with this blackness appearing on skin.

Thought it was cause i run in second screen with another game running, never seen this happen till last update ish tho.

Blurry/missing image texture yes (easy fixed with rebake textures) , black never till now.

Though I've never had this problem, may I suggest investigating a bit more? If the textures of the skin are all yours, take a look at them, both in your inventory and by clicking on the tattoo boxes in the appearance mode window. If they are corrupt or confused in anyway, that may give you a clue. Also, does this happen with other skins? Finally, by having tried "everything", have your cleared your cache or reinstalled the SL client? Lastly, if you change your graphics card settings in Windows, does it affect your problem?

Were you standing on a pose stand when you were changing clothes? My friend has this happen when she was on some posing stand and then suddenly "jumped" for no reason. Next thing, she had all the textures in her clothes on her face. It took a while and nothing like clearing cache, changing clothes or relogging worked. She ended up putting that skin away for a while and when she next put it on a week or so later, it was OK. You can see a picture from my thread here.

Well, I did more testing today and figured out that the glitch was occuring because I was running Second Life on my secondary monitor instead of my primary monitor of my dual-monitor setup. This never happened before this recent patch... :/

The only time I've seen something like this was when I used SL on a computer with an old unsupported video card (Intel Extreme Graphics). Make sure your video card is up to snuff, and that your drivers are up to date. If you have an ATI card, try the Omega Drivers if you aren't already.
