I just Started today .. and having troubles ... can some one help me ..PLZZZ
1> i log in to the oritaion island i do ok of about45 minutes ok.... then ii crash
2>then i try to log in a gain and it crashes with out me see the login screen
3> i log in again ... it takes a few and i get bumped out .. says some thing like Unable to connect........ login packet never received by login server..
This is what i got ...
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1800+ (1523 Mhz) RAM: 1073201152 OS: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) NVIDIA Corporation GeForce 6600 GT/AGP/SSE/3DNOW! 2.0.0
ive got the driver nvidia has its a 77.77
got chipset via 4-1 thing... 546 versoin
any clues there ppls

What kind of internet connection do you have? Your error message mentions packet trouble...

Bertha .. i got cable it 3 meg connection and have a 1gig of ram
EDIT:
i have even called my cable provider on this too they looked in to it and things are fine on there end ... even had one of there tech to come out to look in to the cable connection here ....

i got a 3 meg connection from my cable company ....
my packets are like this before i even try to log in
Sent packets: 5,402 received is: 7,058
so i think i got ... good packets here

Shonda, it sounds like you are on a windows machine. It would be very helpful if you were to post the log files from (usually) C:\Documents and Settings\<yourWindowsLoginName>\Application Data\SecondLife\logs
Depending on your settings, this directory may be "hidden" but you can still get to them by putting the directory name into windows explorer directly.
Privacy Warning: these files will contain the your windows login name, aside from that, I was unable to find any personally identifying information in them so these logs will likely not have information that could be used to compromise your machine. However, your Windows Login Name may be personally identifying. For example, my window's login name is "msw" and if you can use that to identify me, enjoy. On the other hand if my Windows Login name were "WilliamHenryGatesIII", you might be able to figure out who I actually am.
