HI

I'm using SL on two XP machines and this works well, but if i start up my Vista PC and try to run SL on VISTA then the entire network hangs and needs to be restarted. This happens even if ONLY the VISTA machine is connected to the network. I have no network troubles in VISTA except when i start SL then the network just hangs. I've tried configuring the ports of course (SL and router). So has anyone a clue why the network hangs in SL on VISTA, but works fine on XP ?

Bad network card driver? Or even a bad network card...

What firewall and anti virus are you using?

How old is you vista OS?

Have you updated all drivers?

I had this problem first with Vista, but after a complete upgrade of drivers, manually setting ports in firewall, setting up a profile for SL on my Graphic Card and making sure the anti virus was doing what it should it works perfectly.

But beware of upgrading to Nvidia Drivers subject to your card, some are not compatible with SL.
