Forum RSS Feed Needs Login

In order to pull the headlines from the forums into any RSS/XML feed aggregator, you must have logged into the Forums with your ID.

I found this because I use Firefox as my primary browser to log into the forums but my feed manager FeedDemon uses IE as its "behind the scenes" browser.

To get FeedDemon (or any aggregator) to read the feed, I had to open IE and log into the forums. This makes it impossible for any of the fan sites to pull announcement headlines from the forums for their websites.

I request that, if this is the case for everyone, that Linden Lab change permissions on the RSS/XML feeds for anonymous access. If securing it was done by design for privacy reasons, then I'd ask that separate public feeds be developde with filters, etc.
