We all know what the minimum requirements for getting SL to run are but my question is this; what is the minimum requirement needed to get the game to run with everything turned on and maxed out and still maintain a minimum 20 fps? The Unatainium 3000? Quantim Netrino Processor? HAL 9000? Possibly something Positronic?

Kidding aside, what does LL consider the optimum set up for running SL with all the features working smoothly?

Based on experience with my system, and benchmarks for various parts, I'd expect it to be something like the following:

3.4GHz Pentium or Athlon 64/3800
1 GB RAM
7200 RPM hard drive
GeForce FX5700 or better graphics card
3Mbps internet connection

You think an FX5700 would be powerfull enough to run SL with all the goodies maxed? Then again I have come across some folks who can run with Local lighting on with systems less capable than mine so I dunno.

So, with this you can run SL in 1024x768 with AA and AF filters run up to like 4x~8x, turn on all the options including Local lighting, draw distance set 512 and still maintain a usible framerate of around 20fps?

:o SL is like EQ2 is now, you cant have everything on max, no computer can handle it , i run on a a64-3800+ . 3 gig ram . 6800gt , and with everything maxed im not near 20 fps , maybe if im in a empty sim :p

Well when i build alone , i get 50+ tho , but anyone near me kiss the fps bye.

oh i forgot i run on a 10000rpm sata drive , i do notice a diffrence from my older 7200 when cache loading.
