Lately my avie has been responding 3 - 5 seconds after i press my keyboard buttons. If i stretch a builder object then it could be 7- 10 seconds before it responds, why is this its only been happening recently and i ahvent changed anything on my computer, it also doesnt happen on other games such as There or non MMORPG games such as GTA ont eh PC.

Sounds like true network lag. I would focus on looking at that. Also try building in differant sims and see if that improves the problem. If not, see if you're having packet loss problems...

i did a trace and i had no packet loss but i am noticing huge delays. After it gets out of the london servers it goes accross the atlantic to waht i think is the Ny servers, in UK the time that it takes to get a response is 17 - 98 ms but once its gets over the atlantic it starts off at 100ms and then goes up to a massive 177 - 190 ms on the verio.net servers. In There we had a similar problem with "voice chat" being garbled, it turned out that comcast servers were to blame and There sorted it, i wonder if Linden Labs could do the same?

Hit Ctrl-Shift-1 to bring up the statistics bar.
Under "Basic", what does it say for "Ping Sim" and "Ping User"? Under "Simulator", what does it say for "Time Dilation"? _____________________

Im not to sure what isp/line you have, but have you checked your upload/download, sounds like youre constantly uploading or searching.
You need to look under : Simulator : time dilation ,, should be 1.00 ,,, lower then 0.5 then youll get major slowdowns (thats the sim youre in) Reminds me of someone who had massive lag didnt get why, then i told him to turn off any p2p software, what did you know his lag was gone  There is a prog i use to easy check what im downloading/uploading , its not free but you can use it for 30 days ish,, there are free out there i just use this. (seems their main webpage is down, figures so heres a link to other) Netlimiter Run a spyware/adaware check latly? |

Comcasts is notoriously bad at networking. Sufficantly so every now and then they make the news.
