Hello everybody i'm having a strange trouble with sl since i've change my connection. I'm giving a picture of my new modem: http://www.neuf.fr/offres/43/45/47/51/62.htmlI can launch sl correctly but after few seconds my character can't move at all and looks like sl doesn't download anymore the textures and i get disconnected. For me it looks like a huge lag because sometimes i move my character and after 10 secs it moves a little bit. For your information my firewall is off, my connection is 20mb, my antivirus doesn't lock sl to download or upload, i have no loss packet in sl my ping is about 200ms and i got 60 fps ingame. My computer: Athlon 3000+ 64 video card: radeon 9600 series 1gb ddr ram 200gb Hard drive All drivers are up to date. You can directly contact me on my msn, klenexius@hotmail.com Please help me i'd love so much to go back on Second Life :/ Thank you for you Help. Klen Millhouse.

Does the router have an inbuilt firewall or denial of service type prevention software built in, i've noticed sometimes that my netgear with similar software will pick up the sl connection as an attack on the connection and it will seem like a disconnection, you should be able to see this by checking the logfiles in the router. If thats not the case make sure the correct ports have been opened up for secondlife https://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Configuring+your+firewall+for+Second+Life+accesshttps://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Technical+Support+FAQ

No, the router has no firewall and no interface and i asked the service of my connection it has no firewall.
For example i can send or receive files on msn and i can play W.... of W...... without any problem at all.

Its very hard to say, it looks like their box is not a typical router but more like a cable modem, specifically designed for their service so its going to be very tricky to diagnose any service problems especially if its in the configuration of their device, i could only recommend connecting it via the cable and not wifi

The modem is connected to my computer by the ethernet port connection.

I fixed it , it was simple, the modem was auto connecting to internet so maybe sl connection recognise the connection, so now i bridged the modem and i must activate the connection by windows now
