I downloaded Second Life to try it out.
I start the game and enter my login info, then press connect. Then the loader bar goes to 50%, and stops at Connecting to region. Iv'e tried going to sleep with it on, but when I woke up it still says Connecting to region.
Is this a known problem? How do I fix it? I live in Norway, may that be the problem?
Hoping for some answers

Just curious, but are you running a firewall? If so, you'll need to let the client have access to the Internet. Your geographic location shouldn't make much difference. Your pings will be higher than someone closer to the servers, but SL has users from all over the world. You may also want to take at the tech support wiki. Hope this helps, and welcome to SL!

Hey!
I disabled my firewall and the problem persists. I can see from the firewall that there is traffic coming too and from the secound life client.
I also tried clearing out the second life cache at: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\SecondLife\cache
But that didnt help.
EDIT: I also reinstalled the client.

The servers have been acting pretty poorly today (as a result of the recent patches) and I wonder if this has something to do with the issues getting in. I just relogged and got back in with no problems, but I was also in a pretty empty sim so that might not really mean anything.

Ok, so when I start second life, a message box pops up saying I have old Intel Chipset drivers.
So I press yes, and it takes me to a Intel Chipset page, I download and install the newest drivers, and reboot the machine.
When I then try to run second life, it does the same again, the window pops up saying I dont have the newest Intel Chipset drivers...
And I still cant log in.
So are the people who make this game n00bs or what? If they dont get this fixed I want my money back...
Is there a person at Second Life I can mail?
