I had 80 prims left this morning and now I'm down to 24 prims left because when I delete items it goes ghosts and does not really get deleted or does not go back to my inventory if I tried to take it back... it has never been this way before. At least it used to leave the prim count fine... so now I can't continue to create.

I think that to restart all regions would be nice. I have ghosts prims problems in all my lands... and it never really stopped. Once the regions are restarted, the problems always comes back.

THE LAST DAMN TIME I requested to restart one of my regions it took Linden 2 damn weeks to do it... pls...

I also can't wear my damn hair now. It keeps saying that I already have pending attachment blah blah.

Linden balance keeps saying loading, traffic stats works on and off.

Search works on and off.... its been at least 2 weeks now since we've got the same problems.

Could pls someone fix all this once and for all (I'm dreaming I know)

it seems like my ghosts items takes from the prim count left.. and goes under "selected /sat upon"... interesting but them frustrating... 12 prims left now. I really want to take back to my inventory what I built...

also I have lost 90% of what I built today from my inventory....

Yes SL starts to be as boring as RL...

"[Update 5:47 PM Pacific 08/08/07]
The last of the network issues have been resolved and the grid is now back online and fully operational."

So that's it? Linden gives no more news and leaves us like this? ty.

They didn't fix it, it's still happening. I just bought something cheap, dropped it on the ground, picked it up. It didn't go back into my inventory but stayed on the ground. I could see it and can walk through it. I log out and back in and it's gone. Voice was oh so important to add over fixing this damn issue that keeps reoccurring. Losing real money sucks. I mean this was a test I did but before this I had lost a few expensive items and some things I was working on.Luckily i had back ups of those projects.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. For crying out loud, how long is it going to take for Linden Labs to get the idea that things are broken, they aren't getting better, and they are going to have to take a few extra steps than they want to to fix it. For all intensive purposes, the databases have been broken for MONTHS. They are not fixing it, they are just delaying the inevitable. Every time they say they fix it, they end up breaking it in 2 other ways. The databases are not working, come up with a better idea, because this is not going to cut it. Period. Personally, I'm about to cash out my lindens, sell what transferable objects I have, and hike it back over to EQ2 and I am not the first and I won't be the last to run for greener pastures.

well... its not complicated, I can't rez, I can't get to attach my hair, I can't take back anything to my inventory without losing it and without it going ghost... my prims count keeps going down because of ghosts prims (wich never affected my prim count before)...

so let's just say that SL is broke and that Linden don't care to post anything to the blog and leaves us... like that... wondering if they even care for us since they give us no news at all. They are not even posting that they are aware of anything going wrong right now.

I can't work at all... wtf??? Hello?

Maybe action beyond this is required...

THE GRID IS RESTORED!!!
Actually people it is. Think about how SL has been running lately and you'll see it IS in fact true.
Failure to rez... normal
Cannot complete attachment, attachment pending... normal
No Copy item disappearing... normal yet again
Problems rezzing... normal
Ghost Prims... normal
Being Ruthed.. normal
Inventory NOT loading or after an hour still having 100 items showing... normal

So see, they did restore it... To the normal we had yesterday... Yes, sarcasm at its finest. *s*

I wonder because they follow RL laws (ie the banning of gambling) does this not also give them some kind of responsibility toward virtual items we have purchased with RL money that are stored on their servers?

Ok, July 1 i lost around 800L of inventory that i was aware of at the time. In the past week or so I've lost 1200L in poseballs (which Happy Dispatch won't replace and yes when i just purchased something I expect it to be replaced. i did it for my customers when I had my shop and still do even though I don't currently have a shop any longer - provided of course SL hasn't eaten the item in question), a hot tub from Ramos Designs, a bathtub from Ramos Designs, the majority of a living room set the creator no longer makes or sells, and i could go on and on and on, but you get the picture.

They can't guarantee I'll get the items back but they can guarantee come Aug 15 they will bill me for another 3 months of membership. Maybe we should start billing LL. Loss of business, loss of inventory, etc. I think our bill would greatly outweigh theirs.

For the record, I tried to talk with Frontier yesterday through Support for In World Issues concerning the ghosted prims. I got a welcome message and nothing more. The session came up as about to time out unless I hit ok which I did. I finally realized I wasn't going to get support.

I know if there is an attorney out there I'd like to hear what their opinion is on this....

I'm trying to understand how the Lindens can put on their blog that everything is up and running when everything is still broken as it has been since voice was installed. I'm walking around naked half the time because my clothes won't rez, I'm ruth'd almost always now, prims won't rez and if they do they wont' delete. Try to pick a build up, if you relog a few times it will disappear but dont' expect it to show up in your inventory, it just disappears. They won't turn comments on in their blogs anymore it seems they aren't interested in hearing about these issues.

What happened to a world created by it's residents? Phillip you've had people create a world on a platform you built, they created it out of their imaginations, you used their creativity, hard work and persistence to bring in big business so you could profit from it. That's great that's what the US is all about right, I don't begrudge you this, but you are now squashing all the people that built this for you to focus solely on the big business. It's a little hard to continue to be creative and work hard when you know that it could be wiped out in a moment because management's focus is on putting out the newest toy one of the big companies wants rather than putting at least some focus on making sure that the platform runs properly. Big business is great, but how boring sl would be if that was all that was in there.

What will happen is they won't fix this inventory issue that was going on since last weekend. They will say tomorrow in some blog post "we're working on it, have a nice weekend bye" just like last time this happened. I haven't logged in since my initial post but people I know who play all the time are losing stuff left and right or their avatar 's shape, looks like a noob one. Some people say they have no problems at all. I don't get it. I know I definitely did and many others. I just hope they fix this before the weekend.

Time to vote again!

Inventory loss, particularly with this weird new variant of loss on "taking", seems to be peaking again. I've posted a comment on the relevant JIRA bug that references a few RA threads on this. I see only 139 people have voted to fix this issue (the now venerable SVC-114). Since JIRA can be a pain, hints on how to vote are below, apologies if you already know all this.

***********************************************

The JIRA login page is at https://jira.secondlife.com/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fjira.secondlife.com%2F secure%2FDashboard.jspa

-- If you know the bug number (like SVC-114), then enter it in the "Quick Search" field in the upper right of the JIRA screen.
-- When the bug description comes up, look on the panel on the left side of the screen for the section called "Operations" (probably the last section)
-- The last item in that section should be "Voting". A single click there will register your vote. The page will change to indicate that you now have voted for this bug.

ALL DONE!

-------------

The next time you log into Jira, you will see a set of links on the entry page like this:

"My Unresolved Reported Issues | Votes "

Click on the "Votes" part of the link and you will see the status of all issues you have voted for.

Also, whenever you're looking at a bug description, in the far left panel you will see a line titled "Votes". This is the number of people who have voted for the issue, and if you click "View" there you can see their names. So you can IM your friends who haven't yet voted to do so
